Merton Young Parents’ Service

Our Young Parents’ service supports young women aged 16-21 who are pregnant or have a child under the age of two and need housing. This service takes referrals directly from Merton Local Authority. It has six bed spaces in two shared houses where young mums can stay for up to 24 months.

We believe that young mothers benefit from living with their peers, who are facing similar challenges to them. This enables them to develop supportive relationships within their shared accommodation.

Our Life Coaches help them to develop their parenting skills and offering training for independent living. Our Work + Learning service enables our customers to improve their employment prospects so that, as their child grows up, they are in a better position to support themselves.
