Thank you to all those that took part in our Evolve Sleep IN.
The event would not have been possible without the incredible and dedicated actions of our supporters who all found a new way to take part in the event, despite the current circumstances.
Thank you all and stay safe!
We hope you are all well and keeping safe during the pandemic.
Our beneficiaries are in one of the high risk groups of vulnerable people.
Whilst we prioritise keeping those in our services and staff as safe and supported as possible, we would like to announce the Sleep Out is cancelled and is now the Sleep In!
Taking part in the Sleep In at home? Fundraise here.
How will it work? On Sunday night, 29 March, follow these steps:
> Grab your sleeping bag
> Find a hard floor
> Take a selfie/ video
> Share to social using #EvolveSleepOut
> Sleep in at home!
Your safety is our main priority. If you have a secure garden, great! If not, bed down on a hard floor, indoors and camp out for the night.
We know this will nowhere near replicate what it is to sleep rough, but the point is we are still coming together to raise funds and awareness for homeless people. They need our help now more than ever.
Join us on social and let’s support the most vulnerable of our society, in spite of Coronavirus!
Due to important developments concerning Covid-19, Evolve Housing + Support will be issuing a response on the Sleep Out tomorrow.
13.03.2020 IMPORTANT UPDATE
Unfortunately, we regret to announce that due to Covid-19 (Coronavirus), we have decided to postpone the Evolve Sleep Out on Sunday 29 March.
We are currently reviewing options for next steps and updates will be posted here on Tuesday (17.03.20).
We would like to thank everyone that signed up and dedicated their time to raise money for such an important cause. We will be communicating closely with everyone that registered as to what our next steps will be. Please take care.
We have rounded up some useful resources which we think will help you raise funds from your friends, family and networks in support of your decision to give up your bed and sleep out for one night for Evolve.
Sharon was evicted from the home she had lived in for 16 years when people she believed were her friends were caught using drugs there. Evolve helped her rebuild her confidence and move into her own home.
“Being homeless was the worst experience ever. Evolve put a plan in place for my life and motivated me to move forward.”
