Empowering Women Through Dignity, Choice, and Community: Welcome to The EmpowerHer Emporium
We’re thrilled to launch The EmpowerHer Emporium—a brand-new event designed to uplift and support women experiencing homelessness. More than just a distribution of donated items, this is a space where femininity is celebrated, dignity is restored, and community is built.
For many women navigating homelessness, everyday items like new underwear, a good book, skincare products, or colourful touches for their living space are simply out of reach. At the EmpowerHer Emporium, we’re transforming these often-overlooked essentials into something truly special: a luxurious, boutique-style shopping experience, completely free of charge.
Through our Wellness Wardrobe, donated items are curated into themed displays that allow women to browse, choose, and collect items that reflect their personal style and needs. Each guest will leave with a tote bag full of treasures they’ve personally selected—a rare moment of choice, beauty, and self-expression in what can often be a difficult time.
But the EmpowerHer Emporium is about more than shopping.
We’re creating a welcoming, joyful atmosphere that includes wellbeing activities, empowering talks, and a cozy ‘coffee shop’ corner offering warm drinks and sweet treats. These touches are intentional: they’re about fostering connection, building confidence, and offering moments of peace in a safe, affirming space.
To reach more women and reduce barriers to participation, we’ll be hosting two events across different sites on alternating weeks—bringing the Emporium experience closer to where it’s needed most.
And with October marking both Breast Cancer Awareness and Menopause Awareness Month, we’re partnering with specialist charities to provide vital information, support, and care around these often-underdiscussed topics. Our goal is to ensure that women feel seen, supported, and empowered at every stage of their health journey.
