Evolve’s new music studio has been featured on The Sunday Morning Live Show. The episode was broadcast on Sunday 10 October on BBC1.
Hosted by YolanDa Brown (Cbeebies, MOJO winner), the show features Evolve worker, Manny, and 2 of our young service users.
What began as an effort to fix a single piano in our young person’s lounge, led to the creation of a full recording studio. It’s a space that now provides much needed community and creativity for those we support.
Every day we witness how music is transforming the lives of young homeless people living at Evolve.
Like many others we support, Shannon has faced trauma and challenges throughout her childhood. However, music and the encouragement of Manny has helped her and others to discover their talents, build their confidence and break-through severe challenges with their mental health.
Currently, all studio kit has been generously lent to us by Manny. But we need to gain our own equipment to further empower this creative community.
If you would like to donate equipment, instruments or funds to help us buy our own kit, please email siobhan.doyle@evolvehousing.org.uk
We would be overjoyed to hear from you. You will be helping to inspire, engage and upskill the young homeless people in our services and help them on their way to independence.
We see talent brewing. Be part of their journey!
Sincere thanks to the amazing team at Soundproofing UK who worked tirelessly throughout weekends and evenings to build our studio, free of charge. We will forever be grateful for your kindness and generosity.
