Best-selling author and entrepreneur supports our Sleep Out
Best-selling author and entrepreneur, Byron Cole has signed up to take part in our Sleep Out in Boxpark, Croydon on 24th March, and is absolutely smashing his fundraising target, with £1230 raised £1230 so far!
Byron was inspired to take part in our Sleep Out due to his own experience of not having a place to call home. At an early age, Byron’s family would stay with friends and wider family members, but he was too young to understand that they were close to being homeless. The challenges his parents went through motivated him to find a cause he could support.
As a natural relationship builder, Byron is using his entrepreneurial spirit to reach out to his large network to help him succeed in reaching his fundraising target. He’s used social media to encourage his network to donate, get involved and share his Justgiving page link.
A key motivator is his wife, Bianca Cole who is an ambassador for Evolve. Byron took comfort in knowing that he and his wife are working together to help homeless people gain back their independence. He said ‘Such a small sacrifice of one night sleeping out seems insignificant, and we’re so delighted to do what we can to help Evolve continue working with to people rebuild their lives.’
Having never raised any money himself before, Byron has given generously to his friends and families causes over the years, and is delighted at the response he’s been given in return.
