‘She didn’t just give me a room; she made me feel like family.’

Our Community Host Scheme provides accommodation for young homeless people in the London Borough of Lambeth (aged 16 and 17 years) who have been assessed as having low support needs and are able to live semi-independently.

Ava, a former customer, was just one of the young people who benefited from this scheme, “Marguerita, my host, was a lovely lady. She was very understanding, calm and caring. She didn’t just give me a room; she made me feel like family. She’s become another mum to me.”

If you are a home owner in the London Borough of Lambeth with a spare room in your house and would be willing to provide temporary accommodation for a homeless young person, please contact us.

As a Community Host you will be fully supported by the organisation and provided with training.

You will also be paid for the use of your property, providing meals for the young person and for a maximum of 4 hours a week support for the young person.

If you are interested, please call 020 7101 9960 for an informal chat and further details regarding the role of a Community Host. You can find more information on the Community Host Scheme page.
